Very informative
Very informative
I have a fair knowledge base for edibles but there are always new plants that deserve to be questioned. This app may not be 100% on every plant but it is as close as you will get. It could truly be a life saver.
I had assumed that with this app you could take a picture and have plant identified. This app seems only useful if you already know about the plant.
If you see a plant you cannot identify you have to take a hour to go thru every line item to see if it’s a match. Just fix it so you can take a photo of unidentified plant and run they app. Does me no good
I’m disappointed. There aren’t that many plants in their database and limited info on the plants listed. Also, the map feature has no purpose. I paid 1.99 and regret that.
So far I like it I have a Lotta information thank you
Maybe because I am already a serious forager I have discovered numerous fails in this app. First 2 wild edibles I look up, very common ones, not in there. Garlic mustard and wild spinach. Could not find them in there. Now if they are in there under some other names this too is a weakness in the app. Would have given it one star but it does have some useful info in there but not great by any means. Keep looking, spend a little more, get a better app
So many edible plants that are missing! Smilax, Biden’s Alba, Dollar Weed, to name just a few that are not on your list. This app needs a serious update!
I’m over 70 & old vet - The Datas found in this application Can save you and your families butts!! In a emergency!! well done !! very well done !! I learned a lot!🤩🦖😎
Great pictures, perfect information, works off line, easy read, very organized. One suggestion I would make is break up the edible plants into groups where they are located in the states. So all plants found in Florida in one tab. If plants are found in multiple states and it's the same multiple states they should in one tab.
This app has a small amount of info. It misses a lot of plants regularly found throughout New England. Weak.
I also wish there was a plant identification feature. I’d like to snap a shot and know what I’m looking at
Not very impressed with the information. Very basic plant identification and regions are even more generally described. Still a good amount of information for $2.00, but your probably better using google search to look up and identify plants in your' specific region.
I just got this app so I haven't learned everything about it. It seems very informative, and has a pretty big selection to learn about. The one problem I have is that it's not great to navigate. It would be nice to be able to sort by region, or things like that.
When reading the review of the amaranth plant I noticed that in the second paragraph, edibility, it suddenly is referred to as "alder"! Not very good proof reading. Brand-new app for me, I'm wondering if it's going to be trustworthy?
It's easy and very informative
For a paid app it is poorly organized and and has minimal identification of plant info.
Very clear and easy to use with excellent features. Nice work. I am a naturalist and it is great to have in the field.
This is a great app. Very helpful in helping identify various plants. The only problem that I have found is when searching through edible plants there isn't a back button to take me back to the previous menu or previous page that I was looking at. For example if I go into edible plants from the menu and then go into the temperate area plants and I click on a plant that I want to learn about there isn't a back button to take me right back to the temperate area plants instead I have to click the menu and go back to edible plants and then temperate area plants again. This would make the app a lot better.
It would be outstanding if you could filter the list of plants by geographic location. Other than that it's very informative and extremely useful
This app is a very helpful, I'm glad I bought it
I like it it's very informational but I just wish there was a plant identifier walk through where I could pick the leaf shape like an elimination process and it would take me to the plant I'm looking at or anything to narrow it down also if I could search plants based on region that would be awesome. If you could make this happen I will definitely give it five stars. The pictures are very good and the amount of information is outstanding but I would like a way to sift through it to find what I'm looking for. Maybe you could use my gps for the app to tell me what plants are in like a so many mile radius of me or just let me search plants by region or preferably state. Thank you and I look forward to installing the update.
This app is well thought out. It covers the shapes of leaf ID, Universal Edibility Test, which is ÜBER IMPORTANT, & has great photos for ID, along with tips on prepping the plant as well as parts to be used. I like it!
I am hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and this app is useful for knowing what I can and can't snack on!
I love this app, it's a great addition to my "survival" folder! If I ever need to know what to eat and what not to eat, or in the event of an apocalypse or becoming stranded... I'll have my solar charger and this awesome app!
I'm new to plant identification so any information is helpful. I like that I can zoom in close on the photos...wish it had a bigger selection of plants in the app, but a lot apply to my location. Next camping trip ill be using it while hiking. I'm probably not going to eat everything I find because I'm not in a survival situation, however it is a fun activity with the wife to walk around and enjoy looking for certain plants.
Unbelievably limited application. So few plants and so many ubiquitous edibles completely absent from this app. I will continue to carry a field guide instead of using an app I guess
Spectacular!
This would be better if you could search and see all edible and non edible plants in a given state or area. Also more photos of each plant in different seasons.
Lots of great information. Wish it covered all the plants. Unfortunately they left out mushrooms, and the best way to purge a stomach from poisons is to drink powered charcoal ash if none is available make a fire and use the ash mixed wit water and you will almost immediately purge the stomach. Drinking salt water can be very dangerous.
A preppers' dream. Even if some of the plants listed don't grow, or - most likely - would not be available in North America.
It's a helpful app
Thought I was wasting two bucks and confirmed I wasted two bucks. Deleted
I REALLY like this app....but what would make it even better would be if you could search by location. Ie: New England etc.
I have several apps for identifying plants but this one is the best. The pictures are wonderful on the iPad. The map shows where the plant grows exactly. Most of the plants are easily identifiable.
Must have for all who care to survive. Love the tap on pictures and tape for plants native to my area. Great to train kids with also.
Awesome app, with the way things are going it just might save your life!
Great app! Wish pics were a little larger...
Lets you learn about what parts of the plant is edible where its located and how to indentify it
This is a great app if you want to live a little longer in the wilderness.
This is excellent! Makes it so easy to learn.
Good photo detail, provides information on identifying the plant, where it grows, how it should be prepared, and any other uses
Best app
Terrific reference guide fir survival
This is a good guide but I would like to see more plants from all parts of the world. Also would like to see tubular, seeds and fruits.
It gives a lot of good info and it works off line this is a great app to start out with it tells you info on more that just the plants it was well worth it they did a great job and I can't wait to see what they do in the updates
Useless for IDing plants. Descriptions are long sentences, not organized by keys like leaf attachments. Pix are not close ups.

Awesome! Great info to know!
